Have you tested this on a real Solaris machine? I don't know much about Solaris but if this fixes it I am willing to merge this. |

Yes. I tested it on both x86 and sparc - the two platform we deliver Solaris for. |

Fixes #145030 on Solaris.
The behavior on Solaris is identical to MacOS (fixed in #154222). This PR adds it to the list of platforms affected, fixing the issue and making the newly added test green.
